Embellished Tee

Let’s just say that the weather being uncooperative is the understatement of the year!!!!!! I swear every time I blog about how nice the weather is, the weather turns sour!!!!! The past week has been cloudy and rainy. I’m still wearing my jeans and blazers because it’s that cold!!!!!! Anyways last Wednesday I decided to pair my printed cropped pants with an embellished tee and red blazer. It’s no secret that I love wearing t-shirts with jeans and a blazer, but I love embellished tee’s even more. It’s the perfect way to spruce up a simple t-shirt.

I’m so excited for shorts season to finally begin. The weather here has been taunting us. Mother Nature gives us a couple of gorgeous days, and then takes it back and gives us cold and the rain. But ever the optimist, I’m hoping that in a few weeks the warm weather will be here to stay. When I think of Summer, I think of shorts. I think of getting my pasty white legs tanned. I love that shorts come in all shapes, sizes and lengths. Gotta say that I’m kind of liking the short shorts, not the Daisy Duke kind, but the ones that still flatter those of us that are over 30 and are mothers. Below are 5 different ways I styled shorts.

To Mix Prints Or To Not Mix Prints & Tres-Chic Fashion Thursday Link Up

So the title of my post may be a bit confusing, since I love mixing prints. I’m just not sure about mixing these 2 prints. I bought this window pane printed sweater in the Fall and I was looking at the different ways I could style it. I was planning on wearing it with printed pants, but the weather was totally not cooperating, so I opted on wearing them with my skinny jeans. I decided to take a picture and see what you guys think. Would you wear the window pane sweater with these printed pants?

Pink Tippi Sweater 5 Ways

Last year I purchased my first Tippi sweater from J Crew and was in love. I now have 3 in burgundy, pink and blue. Why I like them so much is that they are lightweight, have 3/4 length sleeve and are made to layer over and under. My favourite way to wear it is layered over a button shirt with jeans, flats and statement necklace. You can wear it with shorts, boyfriend jeans, skinny jeans, cropped pants, layer a button shirt underneath it, add a statement necklace and complete the outfit by adding a blazer. I wore it with a polka dot skirt for my son’s family birthday party last year. It’s no secret that I love blazers and that I basically live in them 3/4 of the year. They go with absolutely everything, from maxi dresses, to skirts, dresses, shorts, boyfriend jeans, jeans, cropped pants… You get the idea. Like I said, everything!!!!!!! I like blazers because they can dress up an outfit as simple as t-shirt and jeans. It’s a great alternative to wearing a cardigan and then a jacket over it. I also like blazers because they are a great piece to use to layer. You can wear it over a sweater and blouse or layer it over a dress. I must have a dozen different blazers in my closet. Although I’ve chosen 8 ways to show case the different ways I’ve worn a blazer, I can assure you that I have many more pictures then just 8 ways.

Yesterday I showed you a gingham top styled with a cardigan and jeans. Today I’m going to show you 5 different ways to style gingham. Gingham is the perfect top to change up an outfit. It’s a great, versatile piece that can be worn by itself, layer it under a cardigan, layer it under a dress or belt it and add a vest. Gingham kind of reminds me of the country. Not sure why, but I picture pig tails and a hail of bay when I think of gingham. I bought this polka dot blouse from the Gap at the end of Summer and I can’t believe how much use I’ve gotten out of it. It’s such a versatile top making it perfect for layering for Fall. Blazer, Polka Dot Blouse and Red Statement Necklace

As I was looking at the other post where I wore this necklace, I realized that I gave that post the same title as I was giving this one. Good thing I checked it out. This is an outfit I wore last Thursday. I looked in my closet and saw this polka dot blouse and realized that I haven’t worn it in a while so I decided to pair it with a pair of skinny jeans, a boyfriend blazer, booties and Stella & Dot’s gorgeous Mae Necklace. I apologize for the picture quality as I had to take them indoors as it was pouring rain outside. I recently had a Stella & Dot party and purchased the Mae Necklace from Stella & Dot. When I first received it I wasn’t sure what I would wear it with, but it seems to work really well with polka dots. This necklace would go with pretty much anything in your closet. Sweater Dresses A Must For Fall

Sweater dresses are a must for Fall/Winter!!!! They are super comfortable and very versatile, perfect for a busy mom on the go. You can dress it up with a blazer and heels or wear it casually with leggings and booties. I wore this striped grey and black sweater dress last Thursday for Halloween. It’s so comfortable that I wore it all day. Usually when I get home I put on my Lululemon pants but I decided to keep the dress on as it felt like I was wearing pyjamas. When I was taking pictures for this post yesterday I realized that adding a blazer would be a great way to dress up this sweater dress.

It’s no secret that my burgundy jeggings are one of my favourite pants. They are super comfortable and stretchy, perfect combination. These jeggings are not only flattering but super versatile.
