A Christmas Concert & Tres-Chic Fashion Thursday Link Up
Last Monday was my son’s Preschool Christmas concert. As you can imagine we were all very excited to see Aiden sing. Their class did amazing. Most of them sang their little hearts out. At one point you could hear Aiden belting the song out at the top of his lungs. Honestly watching your child up on stage sing is such a beautiful sight. I’ve included some pictures and I also included some outfit pictures. I wore a tweed sparkly peplum jacket with black lace inspired pants.
All gussied up and ready to go
Christmas Tree Cupcakes for the after concert party

Polka Dot Dress 4 Ways
I recently did a post on this polka dot shift dress, click here to read, about transitioning it from Spring to Winter. This dress is very versatile even though it has polka dots. You can pair it with tights and a turtleneck, wear it simple with flats, add a cardigan and booties or wear it with a blazer. You could also add some heels to this dress for a going out look. Today I am showing you 4 ways to style this fabulous printed shift dress.
Style it simple with a statement necklace and flats
Dress (J Crew). Necklace (Joe Fresh). Bracelets (Stella & Dot & The Bay). Watch (Michael Kors). Flats (Tory Burch).
Style it over a turtleneck, tights and boots

Embellished Sweatshirt, Leather Leggings & Gift Ideas For The Lady In Your Life
When I saw this sweatshirt on J Crew’s site, I immediately fell in love with it. Jewelled necklines have been huge this Fall and Winter and I was waiting for just the right one. This sweatshirt did not disappoint!!! I was excited to wear it this past weekend, I even wore it to take my son to see Santa :).The jewelled neckline takes this sweatshirt up a notch. I like that you can wear it with something as simple as leggings, or jeans or you can wear it with a shirk or my favourite leather leggings.
Sweatshirt (J Crew). Leather Leggings (RW & Co.). Heels (Aldo). Bracelet (Gigglosophy). Watch (Michael Kors).
Christmas shopping can be extremely stressful especially when shopping for someone that has everything. I thought it would be nice to compile a list of Christmas gifts that most women would appreciate. It’s got everything from candles, to sweaters, to make up, to coffee, to music, to jewelry and even a purse. For me Christmas isn’t about receiving gifts, it’s about giving them. It’s also about putting thought into the gifts I buy. I know that it can get overwhelming and daunting trying to find that “perfect” gift, but if you take the time to think about who you are shopping for and what they like, it isn’t so bad. The person receiving it will really appreciate it :).
1. J Crew beaded sweater: $116. This sweater would make any woman happy. It’s warm and versatile and would make any outfit pop with the jewelled neckline.
2. Bath & Body Works Mini Candles: 3 for $10. Scented candles make the perfect gift for any woman. We all like candles and these Christmas scents are a perfect complement to the holidays.
3. Stella & Dot Red Cross Body Bag: $104. This fabulous cherry coloured purse also doubles as a clutch. Who doesn’t like a multi tasking gift!!!!!!
4. Banana Republic Fair Isle Sweater: $110. Ok I’m a bit biased, since I have this sweater, but in all honesty it’s the perfect holiday gift. I love the sparkle in it and the fact that it’s Holiday related.
5. Sephora Eye and Lip Palette: $19. This makes the perfect gift for any woman in your life that wears make up. It’s a great palette that has eyeshadows and lip glosses. It’s in a small bejewelled case that makes it convenient for when you travel.
6. Kelly Clarkson’s Christmas CD, Wrapped In Red: $7 (ITunes). I recently bought this cd while I was standing in line at Starbucks (genius of Starbucks to have it right at the cashier). I’m a sucker for Christmas cd’s and I’m also a huge fan of Kelly’s. This cd did not disappoint. Kelly’s rendition of some classic Christmas carols are amazing and I love some new songs she also has on the cd. This cd makes the perfect gift for any Christmas cd lover.
7. Sephora Lip Gloss Set: $19. This set includes 4 lip glosses that any woman, especially teenager would enjoy. The colours are neutral and would look good on any skin type.
8. Stella & Dot’s Kahlo Bib Statement Necklace: $238. Although this necklace is a bit pricey it is worth every penny. Again I’m biased because I have it, but it does make the perfect statement necklace. It adds sparkle and shine to your outfit and I love the mixed metals in it. Perfect holiday gift.
9. Sephora Nail Polish: $15. This set of 5 nail polishes is ideal for that woman who loves well manicured and polished nails!!!!! Great price point and would make a great stocking stuffer :).
10. Starbucks Christmas Blend: $18.95 for 1 lbs. This popular blend is only available once a year and would make a great gift for any coffee lover in your life.
May this blog inspire/help spark some ideas for you.

Celebrity Style: Kelly Ripa
Although I believe that Kelly is way too skinny, even if she is only 5’2″, I still love her style. So I have decided to feature her as this week’s Celebrity Style. I like her style because it’s simple, trendy and fashionable. Kelly likes to wear blazers and fun dresses so I thought it would be nice to feature blazers and dresses, perfect for the holidays.
Blazers
Kelly is a very petite woman but she still manages to pull off a great structured blazer. Blazers are one of the most versatile items of clothing you’ll have in your closet. You can wear them with dresses, pants, shorts, skirts, pretty much anything. One of my favourite looks is wearing a blazer with boyfriend jeans and heels.
How to get Kelly’s blazer:
Dresses
Kelly loves wearing dresses, whether it’s on the show or when she is just out and about. I love that she keeps the dresses simple and she’s not afraid to experiment with colour. Fun, flirty dresses are a must have in every woman’s closet.
How to get Kelly’s dress:
1/2/3
May this blog inspire you to make Kelly’s style your own. Like I wrote above, I think that Kelly is far too skinny, despite her height. I am in no way condoning how skinny she is. I just like her sense of style and wanted to feature that.

‘Tis The Season For Bold Lips
I love Christmas for many reasons and one of them is for bright bold lips. The key to a bright, bold lip is to keep the eye make up simple and to use a lip liner. You don’t want any mistakes when applying a bold lip colour. Below are some great celebrity inspired bold, bright lips:
Below are 2 bright bold lips that I like to wear:
Sephora (Stila, colour: Aria)
MAC (Lady Bug).
May this blog inspire you to try and bright bold lip for the holiday. If you’re unsure of the colour, bring a friend and ask for help. Remember to keep the eyes simple and use a lip liner to define your lips.

Disney On Ice & Tres-Chic Fashion Thursday Link Up
This past Saturday we surprised my son and took him to Disney On Ice. He has developed quite the crush on Belle. We didn’t tell him until he woke up from his nap, and boy was he excited!!!!! When we got there, all he could talk about was seeing Belle. When she finally appeared he clapped and yelled “Belle over here!!!!” I don’t think there was a more excited child in the building than Aiden. He could have jumped out of his little skin. We had an amazing time :)!!!! They put on a phenomenal show. All 4 Princesses were beautiful. If you think that Disney on Ice is just for little girls, you’re wrong, it’s for all kids, big and little :)!!!!!

Christmas Sweaters, They Don’t Have To Be Ugly!!!!!
Today’s holiday edition features Christmas sweaters. Now before you stop reading, we’ve come along way since the days of the 80′s Christmas sweaters. Here are a few that made me laugh:
Like I said we’ve come along way from these “ugly” Christmas sweaters. The key is subtlety!!!!! Keeping it simple is the idea. Try looking for ones that have sparkle, a bow on it or a Fair Isle sweater. Below are 2 of my Christmas sweaters:
Sweater (Banana Republic). Jeans (J Brand c/o Aritzia). Boots (Browns). Bracelet (Stella & Dot). Watch (Michael Kors).
