Today’s outfit post consists of a shirtdress. They are super trendy this past Spring and Summer and I’m hoping they continue into the Fall. I actually am on the hunt for a cute one for the Fall, so if any of you see one, please let me know.

Graphic Tee 2 Ways

When I was at the Vancouver Top Mom Blogger’s celebration a few weeks ago, I saw this quote on a t-shirt and it immediately made me think of myself and my husband. He is always telling me that I need to believe in myself and stop selling myself short, but it’s hard. Wearing this shirt reminds me that we all feel the same way. We are all battling with insecurity, self-image, self-love, etc. I love that when I wear this shirt, people stop and tell me how much they like the message. We all need to start believing in this, because this quote is true. So the next time you find yourself kicking yourself or doubting yourself, remember this quote and remember that we all feel this way.

This graphic tee has quickly become one of my favourite t’s to wear. What I like about it, besides the message is how versatile it is. I wore it with skinny jeans, red blazer and statement necklace to a friend’s son’s birthday and I also wore it with leggings and a denim vest. I like the fit, style, definitely the message. Graphic tee’s aren’t just for a casual look. Try dressing it up with a gorgeous statement necklace, blazer, and heels or pair it with your favourite maxi skirt and denim vest. Co-Hosting Trend Spin Link Up with Laura and Erin: Orange & Black

I’m so excited to be guest co-hosting with Laura from Walking In Memphis in High Heels and Erin from The Fashion Canvas for their trend spin link up. This week’s theme is orange and black. I have to say that I never really cared for the colour orange, but am slowly learning to love it. I decided to feature an orange/red sweater instead of something black. Blazer, Polka Dots and Mae Necklace

I wore this outfit to a play date a while ago. The weather here has been so nice that I didn’t even have to wear a Winter coat. I love blazers and I think you can’t have enough of them. They are great for layering and changing up the look of an outfit. I decided to wear my blazer with my polka dot blouse and added this fabulous statement necklace from Stella & Dot. I did need to add this polka dot scarf to keep me warm.

If you find yourself in a conumdrum in the morning as to what to wear try adding a blazer over a fitted shirt, add a statement necklace and you’re ready to go. Basically my answer to most fashion dilemmas is to add a jacket and a statement necklace.

Burgundy, Stripes & Bears Oh My!!!

This is what I wore last week: a striped top, my favourite burgundy jeggings, Tory Burch flats and a jean jacket. Perfect outfit for very unstable weather. One minute it looked like it was going to rain and the next it was super sunny and warm. I really wanted to wear my boots with this outfit, but I hurt my back at work (you wouldn’t believe all the awkward positions we have to be in!!!) and flats were the only thing I could safely and comfortable walk in. I pretty much walked around all day like I had a stick up my ass. Here’s hoping some yoga, massage therapy and physio helps!!!

Thursday afternoon, I look outside my kitchen sliding door and I see a Mama Bear and her 2 cubs playing in our backyard. They were there on and off for 2 hrs. The 2 little cubs wrestled while their Mama lounged in our backyard like she owned the place. They didn’t seem to be bothered by us at all. It was a sight to behold, completely surreal. We were lucky enough to get some great pictures and my husband was able to take some amazing video. We even managed to make our local and National news with our little bear family.
