I’m back!!!!! I took the past few days off because honestly last week’s craziness finally caught up to me. Now I’m back with a great post on styling a denim vest 3 ways and with my weekly Tres-Chic Fashion Thursday Link Up

When I was doing my building your Summer wardrobe series, I fell in love with the denim vest. At first I wasn’t sure how to style it and if I would be able to get my money’s worth, but let me tell you, the denim vest is like a cardigan or blazer. It’s the perfect completer piece. You can style it over a dress, over a simple t-shirt with leggings or over a t-shirt and maxi skirt. The possibilities are endless. It’s the perfect Summer wardrobe staple. Below are 3 ways I styled my denim vest:

Style it over a dress with runners, fedora and crossbody bag

Style it with a graphic tee, leggings and flats

As you can see a denim vest is a great alternative to a jean jacket, cardigan or blazer. It’s a neutral, basic piece that is easily incorporated into your wardrobe.

In a previous post I wrote about how I promised you all that I would deviate from my jeans and I have!!!!!!! On Wednesday I wore my grey jeggings with a basic white t-shirt, black cardigan booties and added a cobalt blue cuff bracelet. I’ve had this bracelet for a while now and I have to remind myself to wear it more often. On it’s own the outfit could be quite boring, but by adding the cuff I added colour and dimension to my outfit. So the next time you’re wondering how to style a simple outfit, try adding a colourful accessory like a cuffed bracelet, colourful flats or scarf. Basic outfits don’t have to be boring.
