Style Swap: Styling A Red Cropped Pant

I’m really excited to be linking up today with Ginny from My New Favorite Outfit and Jenn fromThe Brandied Pair for their Style Swap Link Up. The idea of their link up is to take an item of clothing that another blogger wore and style it your own way. I saw Inge from This Ever Evolving Life style a red pant and I decided that this would be perfect for the Style Swap.

I didn’t actually wear the outfit, since it’s much too cold outside, but it’s definitely an outfit that I will be wearing once it warms up. I’m itching to take my Spring stuff out of hiding!!! I can’t wait for warmer weather :)!!!!!!

Little Blue Dress & Tres-Chic Fashion Thursday Link Up

My husband bought me this beautiful, strapless, little blue dress for Christmas. Poor guy was a nervous wreck giving it to me. He prefaced giving it to me by saying “I’ve never bought you anything like this before!!” and then he launched into this explanation about how he knows that the size he got me is too big and that he didn’t want to offend me, but that the girl at Jacob told him that it fits small. I just about melted. It was so sweet. Poor guy, the anxiety it caused him and for nothing. Yes, the dress was a size too big, but that’s because I need bigger boobs, otherwise the dress would have fit me perfectly. The girls at Jacob were super helpful when he bought the dress and they kindly let me exchange it for the right size. Gotta say it takes guts to buy a woman a dress. Although the dress was a bit too big, he did well and has amazing taste.

I was so excited about the dress that I wore it for Christmas dinner, New Year’s Eve and most recently for a girl’s night.

Leather Leggings, Baby Shower Cake & Tres-Chic Fashion Thursday Link Up

I just wanted to remind you all that since American Thanksgiving falls on Thursday Nov 28, I will be hosting next week’s Tres-Chic Fashion Thursday Link Up on the day before, Wednesday Nov 27.

This week has been exceptionally cold and I thought that I need to get more use out of my leather leggings. Click here to see the post where I styled it 6 different ways. I have to say that these leggings are extremely comfortable and I thought that I might feel weird wearing them running errands, but I didn’t. I kept it casual by pairing my leggings with a white t-shirt, cardigan, statement necklace, flats and scarf. Leather leggings are a great alternative to your normal cotton ones. So moms the next time your headed out, think about adding some leather leggings to your wardrobe :).

Vest, Stripes, Boots & Tres-Chic Fashion Thursday Link Up

First off I wanted to thank you all for your very sweet comments regarding my post on Friday. If you haven’t read it, click here to read it. Your comments were very thoughtful and made me cry. I appreciate the comments that were left. I was hesitant when I first wrote this post but I felt much better after I wrote it.

Second, some of you asked how preschool went for my son. Since it’s his second year, he walked into school as if he owned the place. He has the same teachers so it was very reassuring to leave him there. He loves it and I’m glad to have a bit of a break. It was no where near as emotional as last year. I’m sure I’ll be a sobbing mess next year for Kindergarden.

One of my favourite trends for Fall is an olive vest. I featured it in my fall fashion must have post. I had an opportunity to wear it last Friday over a striped dress. I added some booties to finish off the look. Gotta say I absolutely love this outfit. It’s comfortable, chic and elegant. I can’t wait to have more opportunities to wear this vest.
