A chambray top is not just for Winter/Fall. It’s the perfect top to wear as a layer over a tank top or to wear with shorts. The way I look at Chambray, it’s like a neutral piece that goes with pretty much anything in your wardrobe. Try wearing it with a skirt and heels for a night out or with leggings and over a tank top. Below are 2 ways I like to style my chambray shirt:
Style it with a maxi skirt skirt and tank top
Chambray Top (American Eagle). Tank Top (Gap). Skirt (J Crew). Sandals (Aldo). Purse (Fossil c/o The Bay). Bracelets (Stella & Dot). Necklace (My Name Necklace).
Style it with shorts and sandals
Top (American Eagle). Shorts (RW & Co.). Sandals (Aldo).
As you can see a chambray shirt can be worn alone or use is as a layering piece. It’s extremely versatile and will make a great addition to your wardrobe.

I love wearing my chambrays in the summer. I actually just wore one open over a tee recently and really loved it as a super light jacket for the evenings.
