Before I get to my post, I just wanted to thank you all for your sweet and supportive comments in regards to my absence and to Monday’s post. This blog isn’t going anywhere, it’s just been a crazy Summer. Here’s hoping the teachers strike ends soon so we can get back to normal and I can enjoy some “me” time while my son is at Kindergarten.

Last Wednesday, my husband and I celebrated our 9 year wedding anniversary. On Saturday we headed out for a fabulous dinner at Hawksworth restaurant. Without hesitation, I would describe my husband and I as foodies. We absolutely love food. A good friend of mine recommended it to me and it did not disappointed. We had a wonderful evening.

Banana Republic was having their 50% off Friends and Family sale a while back and I fell in love with their black Sloan-Fit Faux-Leather Sheath dress. I like it because it’s an edgy take on a classic dress. It was the perfect dress to celebrate our 9 year wedding anniversary. It was a big hit with my husband

Doesn’t my husband clean up nicely?!?!?!??! He wore his tuxedo (his marrying tuxedo, as my son likes to call it) out for dinner. It was a very nice night.

Last week I posted a picture of me and my top knot. Since I got such a positive response, I thought I would include a quick how-to on creating a top knot. Honestly it’s as easy as 1-2-3. 3 steps and you’ve got yourself a top knot.

It really is easy as 1-2-3. You can add a fourth step of straying your hair, but I like the way it looks all natural.
