Top Knot Archives | Vodka Infused Lemonade

Yesterday as I was looking at my favourite blogs, I came across Emily’s post from Cupcakes & Cashmere on hairstyles for short bob. Gotta say I was really happy to see it. Although I wear my hair down most of the time, sometimes I would like to pull it up in a messy bun but my hair is layered and short. What I liked is that her tutorials were simple, easy and most importantly they were doable!!!! So guess what I did yesterday? You guess it, a top knot! A messy, very quick top knot. My son had swimming lessons and wanted us to stay at the pool afterwards so it was the perfect opportunity for me to try it. Guess what??? It worked! It was very messy, I would recommend spraying your hair with hairspray, but I actually really liked how it turned out. I felt like a bit of a beach bum with my outfit as well.

Thank you Emily for a very realistic and easy tutorial on creating a top knot. I’ll definitely be sporting it more this Summer, especially when we are at the pool. The key is to use a lot of bobby pins and spray your hair. I’m also really excited to try the braid as well. I’ll let you know how that turns out.
